Garden waste collection will once again change to a once a month service during the winter.

This is a change from the current fortnightly collection for those who pay to have their garden waste collected throughout the rest of the year.

Instead collections will turn monthly in December, January and February.

The usual two week green bin collection service will resume for residents in March 2022.

Cllr David A Bithell, lead member for environment and transport, said: “The demand for these collections drops significantly during winter and reducing the collections frees up staff to help us deal with any issues caused by the cold weather, such as gritting routes or general maintenance.

“The usual fortnightly collections will resume in March, ready for the spring season.”

The new bin and recycling collection calendars for 2021-22 are also available now on the Wrexham Council website. You can also sign up for email alerts to remind you when and which bin to put out.
