The Gourmet Grills has opened on Abbot Street in time for the late night trade selling a range of tasty sounding burgers.

We received an e-mail to let us know it coming to town and had a look at what they had to offer.

A gourmet burger bar is now open in Wrexham!

According to the grill’s Facebook page they are offering free chips for he first week of opening – however we popped down a week after and chips were still free!

Below is just a taster of the gourmet burgers on offer. After bemoaning the lack of a food challenge in Wrexham recently we quite like the sound of The Big Boy!

Original Billy Burger – 6oz beef
Clucking Chicken Burger – 6oz chicken
Ladyboy – with a Thai Chutney
The Ring of Fire – with a Jalepeno relish
Smoking Gun – Bavarian smoked cheese and BBQ sauce
The Matador – With Chorizo and Red Onion Marmalade
Blue Steel – with Blue Cheese and Red onion jam
Old Macdonald – With Cheddar cheese and Tomato and Pickle salsa
Italian Stallion – with Mozzarella and Pesto
Ginger Ninja – with a Ginger and Chilli Pickle
The Big Boy – 10oz of Beef Wonderfulness

Homemade Chicken Jalfrezi

Pictured is the Old Macdonald which was great – proper chunky homemade burger , fresh crisp salad and the home made pickle salsa was full of flavour!

Let us know which ones you try in our forums or on twitter – I think we will go for a Ginger Ninja chicken burger next….
