Explained: Coastguard Helicopter Seen Landing in Wrexham
A casualty was transported to Wrexham via the Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter last night after sustaining a leg injury.
A number of readers contacted Wrexham.com at around 7:30pm on Tuesday evening after the HM Coastguard helicopter was seen landing by the Rafa Club on Ruthin Road.

Details posted online today by North East Wales Search and Rescue today state that they were called to a casualty with a lower leg injury near the top of the Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall in the Berwyn Mountains.
The statement continues onto add: “To expedite the rescue our first responder asked Dyfed Powys Police to request the Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter.
“Rescue 936 from Caernarfon completed the task successfully and our team members stood down while on the way to the job.”
