“Contained incident” no risk to public say local police

Police have issued a short statement following a large amount of activity from the local force in town earlier today.

The statement reads, “Contained incident on Salop Road area of Wrexham.

“Please avoid the area as there will be some disruptions on surrounding roads.”

“There is no risk to the public, we thank you for your patience and co-operation with this matter.”

Earlier there was also police activity on Bridge Street and Poplar Road.
