7pm on Channel 4* this evening will see ‘Come Dine With Me’ from Wrexham. The penultimate show in this series was filmed in 2012, and features four people living ‘local’ cooking for each other.

For those unfamiliar with the show, each plays host to a dinner party where their guests score their food and the evening out of ten. The winner overall gets £1000 in cash. The straightforward concept is often interlaced with japery and arguements, wonderfully narrated in a sarcastic manner by Dave Lamb.

The hosts in Wrexham are financial advisor Joey Perez, the zumba-loving Jacki De Sanders, sci-fi fan Tom Evans, and hotel inspector Lisa Groom.

Channel 4 say in their show bumpf “The week features quite a bit of havoc, some boisterous play-acting, and the unfortunate situation where one guest thinks they’re the life and soul of every party, but actually winds up every other member of the group.”

Wrexham has featured before in 2010 (featuring Maria Wynne, Steve Housego, James Stevens & Nadine Leese) which was repeated at the tail end of last year.
