Wrexham Council have given “a massive thank you” to Chapter Court who have kindly sponsored the main city centre Christmas Tree this year.

Cllr Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Economy and Regeneration, said, “The Christmas Tree looks amazing this year and visitors old and young enjoy stopping and taking it in as part of their festive shopping. On behalf of the Council and visitors to the town centre I say a huge thank you for your support of our city centre.

Carl Turner, from Chapter Court said: “It’s a huge privilege to be able to sponsor the tree this year – we know how much joy this brings to the people of Wrexham. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Chapter Court in the very near future!”

The tree is on Queens Square within easy distance of the shops and markets, and the redevelopment work to create ‘Chapter Court’ can be seen from Queen’s Sq with the scaffolding outside and vibrant wall graphics being installed inside. More details on the progress of the development should emerge in the coming days.

The first stage of the ambitious project – will be known as Chapter One – is expected to be complete and open for business by Spring 2023. Chapter One is situated in the retail units lining Hope Street, Queen Street and Rhosddu Road, which the planners are calling for startups, boutique shops and independent traders to occupy.

The council also remind you, “Don’t forget there’s free parking after 11am in all town centre council run car parks except Tŷ Pawb.”
