Bus Destroyed After Fire In Penley

Firefighters  were called to a bus fire that left part of the vehicle gutted earlier this morning.

Two crews were called to the incident that took place on the A539 near Penley at 9:23am this morning.

There were reports via Twitter that the A539 Penley and Hanmer had been closed off as a result of the fire.

A pump from Wrexham and Shropshire attended the fire, which involved the engine and passenger compartments on the bus.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was accidental.

There were no casualties as a result of the incident.
