BT Moves Wrexham Broadband Date Again

Just under a month ago we reported how Wrexham’s super fast broadband was going live. Today was meant to be the day that the people of Wrexham could have access to new super fast broadband, but that date has changed – again.

At the time we wrote “The official BT checking system, plus their client facing services still have a due date of 31st December for the Wrexham exchange, however press releases have been circulated welcoming the switching on.”

It seems now with that date here with us today, the goalposts have been moved yet again giving another change of date to March time.

The BT checker system does state the dates are provisional and are subject to change. This change has occurred several times – we have seen it change from June 2012 to September 2012 then to December 2012 and now this latest change.

One unhappy local resident, who emailed us the above screenshot, says “The announcement they made is total lie, I live in Wrexham and monitored the whole thing since 2010 and all I got from BT is a lie follows a lie.”
