Brown Water Issues Continue To Plague Wrexham Residents
Dirty water issues have continued to plague residents in Wrexham after further problems were reported yesterday.
As far back as May people in the town experienced brown water coming through their taps, at the time Dee Valley Water said that hot weather was to blame. Residents in Johnstown, Llay, Rhosddu, Rhosrobin, Gwersyllt, Llay and Penyffordd were also affected.
Problems persisted on and off throughout June when the resuspension of water deposits was blamed by the water company for problems in Johnstown, Rhosddu and Llay.
Now fed up residents in Johnstown have once again been in touch to say that their water supplies have been hit.
Nathan Baldock sent in the above picture and is one of many local people to voice concerns about bathing or feeding their children with the murky brown water.
We asked Dee Valley what the cause of the ongoing problems was and they told us a mains leak in Johnstown was to blame for yesterday’s issues but that they were “not obliged to say what has caused the persistent problems.”
They added that the problem has now been fixed but pointed us to a non existent phone message for further information.
