Seven people were today arrested for a number of burglary dwelling offences across the Wrexham area.

The arrests took place following a series of raids in Wrexham and Cheshire.

Six men and one woman were arrested as police officers executed warrants at seven addresses across the region, as part of Operation Lynwood.

A haul of computers, mobile phones and satellite navigation systems was discovered at the premises along with what is believed to be a significant amount of class A drugs.

Detective Sergeant Jon Russell said: “These arrests are as a result of a focused investigation into a series of burglary dwelling offences in and around Wrexham.

“It involved targeting a group of individuals who had links in Cheshire and are believed to be responsible for these burglaries.”

He added “North Wales Police are committed to ensuring our communities remain a safe environment in which to work and live.”
