An appeal to help trace the owner of a pony and a horse who were found in Wrexham this afternoon, has been launched.

The black Shetland pony and white horse wearing a blue coat were found at the rear of Ffordd Llanerch, Penycae earlier this afternoon.

PCSO Tim Edwards told Wrexham.com: “We received a a few reports about the horses. I was asked to attend. Managed to usher them away from the road they were heading in the direction of and they were, upon leaving them, safely in the fields at the rear of Ffordd Llanerch, Penycae, which I think form part of Brandy Brook, Rhos.”

Anyone with any further information is advised to contact North Wales Police on 101 or @NWPTimEdwards on Twitter.
