Appeal for information following fatal collision near Farndon

Police are appealing for information and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Farndon.

Just after 12.15pm on Wednesday 11 May, officers were called to the B5130, Sibbersfield Lane, following reports of a collision involving a yellow Citroen DS3 DSport and a grey Citroen Berlingo van.

Police said, “Sadly, the passenger of the car, a 37-year-old local woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.”

“The drivers of both vehicles, a 41-year-old man and a 37-year-old man, were both taken to hospital with serious injuries.”

Police are now appealing to trace anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of the vehicle before the incident to come forward.

One fire engine from Chester and one from Malpas attended the incident, along with the air ambulance and other emergency service vehicles.
