Police are appealing for information after several cars were damaged in Ponciau near Wrexham at the weekend.

The offenders damaged cars in Oakdale Road between Friday night and Saturday morning, breaking wing mirrors and in some cases smashing windows.

In one incident CDs were stolen and a sat nav was also taken from a car parked in Park View.

The incidents follow a recent spate of arson attacks on cars in the Wrexham area.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said that last week alone eight cars were set on fire in the county borough.

Anyone with information about the criminal damage and thefts in Ponciau is asked to call North Wales Police on 101.
