A curry night held in aid of a local hospice is to take place at this end of this month.

On the 28th January, the Anise Indian Restaurant will be hosting a Curry night in aid of Nightingale House Hospice.

This is the third charity night held by the Anise and the second to benefit the hospice.

On the evening guests can enjoy a three course meal and drinks reception upon arrival for just £15, with every penny of that going directly to the Hospice.

Robb Golam from the restaurant said: “We are really pleased to be able to support Nightingale House again, we are working with Andrew Atkinson and the Hospice team to make this a night to remember and to raise as much money as possible for their invaluable work, please do book early, it’s all set to be a fantastic night.”

Chris Andrews, Area Fundraiser for Nightingale House said: “The Anise curry night has proved a popular event in the past and it is shaping up to be a great evening again this time round! Every penny raised will come to Nightingale House and allow us to continue caring for people across Wrexham and North East Wales who are living with end of life conditions.

“We are very grateful to Robb and Anise for their ongoing support of Nightingale House, and Andrew Atkinson and Santander for their help in putting on the event. We look forward to seeing plenty of local people at Anise on the night.”

In October 2015 £2400 was raised at a ‘Mills & Bhuna’ curry night, which was held in aid of the Wrexham AFC Disabled Supporters Association.

Santander Bank in Wrexham recently met with Andrew Atkinson to discuss how they could assist the event and they have generously agreed to match fund the amount raised on the evening, which could see a significant amount raised for the work of the Hospice locally.

Geoff Horrocks, Branch Director of Santander Wrexham said: “Santander are really pleased to be working with and supporting such a great charity again in Nightingale house after fund matching £2100 at the end of 2015. We are proud to be supporting our local community early on in the year and I will look forward to meeting everyone on the night.”

Andrew Atkinson commented: “The Anise do so much for good causes in Wrexham and it’s brilliant to work on an event for Nightingale House, it’s such a loved charity in Wrexham and people seem very keen to support the night.”

The evening will also feature some excellent raffle prizes and will give local businesses a chance to support the event with a small sponsorship fee.

If anyone would like to book in for the event or find out more about sponsorship or donating raffle prizes please contact Robb Golam on 01978 266017 or [email protected]
