A5 Chirk Reopens Following Collision Between Car And Motorbike

The A5 near Halton Roundabout in Chirk is was closed for several hours following a collision between a car and a motorbike.

UPDATE: The road has now reopened.

UPDATE 4:30pm: The latest information is that the road remains closed due to ongoing accident investigation work.

Original information below:

An air ambulance is currently at the scene and the A5 near Chirk is currently closed both ways. The incident took place at around 1:12pm this afternoon.

Traffic is queuing in the area as a result of the incident.

North Wales Police Control Room have since tweeted to say: “Collision on A5, Chirk between Halton R/B and Whitehurst R/B – causing road closure. Will update when road is open again.”
