14 year old arrested after alleged ‘assault on young teenager’

Police have said a teenager has been arrested in connection with an incident on the Ponciau Banks park. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Wrexham’s Rural policing team have said, “At around 8pm on Tuesday, June 21st, we were made aware of an incident that took place on the Ponciau Banks Park in Rhos, where a young teenager was assaulted.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“We can confirm that a 14-year-old has since been arrested and referred to the Youth Justice Service.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Inspector Gavin Gilmore said, “Incidents of this nature have absolutely no place in our towns and villages, and as a force we take them extremely seriously.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
