If the map provided by the ITV twitter is right, this happened in open country up by the Moors Inn. There’s not the infrastructure for CCTV out there.

On a side note on that – if you were to google the information provided Google Maps sticks the ‘dot’ bang on where their screenshot is from.

ITV Wales appear to me lazy in terms of such things, as before now they appear to have googled Caia Park and used a Wrexham.com image, and preferred to remove it rather than credit it when challenged :D

We did say we would round this up at 4pm – so Hugh Jones has just had to leave – Darryl emailed this one over to me so a slight overrun but Mr Wycherley has kindly said he will answer:

“Over Christmas there was a welfare centre established in the town centre to help aid the night time economy over the festive period. Are there any plans in place to make this a regular feature in the town centre throughout the year – or will it continue to operate solely during the festive months?”

It wouldn’t be a web chat with the police with out my own personal question on the Bubble Match! My question is….

There are activities by both Chester and Wrexham FC’s ahead of the derby game to ‘reclaim the game’ to improve perceptions of the match. Do you think the public have a negative view of the fans of the clubs due to the derby?

If so, do you think the ‘firm’ policing re-enforces that view, and could NWP / Cheshire Police look to help ‘reclaim the game’ as well with a softer approach?

Email bluntly stating/asking: “Ask them what work is happening ahead of the prison in the partnership with the police and the council and how they think it will affect the town?”

We have had a message via Facebook about someone trying to locate someone called Susie from a 18-30 holiday in Magaluf 10 years ago, but we think that is not one for the Inspector or Mr Jones!

So, back to the questions that have come in via email – and I am combining these two as they are on very similar topics:

“The police station is due to move are both the police and council happy with the proposed end result in the library?”

    &

“The new police station in llay is going to be huge but is it too far out of town and will it mean slow responses?”

Just jumping in with a longer one from Facebook that I missed – so this is from Simon: “I went to an area yesterday I could smell the weed from inside my van as soon as I pulled onto the street ,now if I could smell it surely the police must know there is a grower on that street and I felt sorry for the person that I was going to as coming out of the house nextdoor was wrexham,s number1 nuisance and 2 others as high as kites , really wish they would get tougher on users as well as dealers , time for a change they keep going for the dealers but if they went for the users the dealers would have no one to supply ,end of problem”

Chopper query in via email: “I read on Wrexham.com that one of the police helicopter bases is closing. How will that affect us as it always seems to be in use over town?”

Another short one: “I am not on twitter but see it on the site, there is lots from the police posted up, does it actually do anything?”

We have had a few messages that are shorter / more observational , so will also ask/relay these. One such is from from Liam via twitter: “Not a crime but tell them to get that parking on Ruthin road sorted!”
