Frankly, in this digital era I’m amazed that any newspaper has survived thus far.
I honestly can’t recall the last time I picked one up for perusal or otherwise.

On the contrary, I’m pretty sure they’re a good idea.
Nobody will drink ‘up to the limit’ as I’m certain every driver knows the general rule to be 2 pints and you’re pushing your luck, whilst your responses will certainly be impared. I’d guess that they’re aimed at those who feel they’re OK to drive the morning after when in reality they’re anything but. Anything that will assist in the prevention of possible injury and death can only be a good thing, can’t it?

    maxman,
There is an app that you can use.
It’s calked Fill That Hole(sadly, it’s not a dating app😉😆) that allows the user to take a pic and give a brief description which is then passed to the local authority responsible.
As an avid cyclist I’ll be making full use of it when the weather improves a tad, there are some shockers locally.

It’ll take more than this single instance, once a year IMHO to outweigh the very negative impact they tend to have throughout the other 11 months of the year, as already listed.

One does however live in hope…..

(Sigh) For the hard of understanding……

Watch the video. At 26 seconds some clown in a parka and black cap uses the inflammatory words. The officer then approaches and speaks to him, tells him to shut up and keep moving. Those are the ONLY words spoken by the officer. Also, if they arrested everyone at a football match who shouts profanities they’d have to build another super prison.
Odd too that in the 15 comments in the video not one accusation is made about bad language by a police officer.
Do society a favour, don’t EVER do jury service or act as a witness, you’ll get somebody in trouble!

You need to go back and watch the video again.
The officer DOES NOT use bad language. The words are spoken by a ‘fan’, after which the officer tells that person to be quiet.
Furthermore as has been pointed out, this happened in March. Have you got genuine concerns or are you just a Front Liner with an axe to grind against NWP?
Ether way you need to get a life!

Have to say I couldn’t agree more.
As this council lurches from one crisis to another I was literally agog as I walked through town the other evening.
The cost of replacing what is obviously a perfectly serviceable surface is indeed mind boggling.
Who makes these diabolical decisions whilst we’re facing further cuts and stringent measures?
This council quite literally would fail to organise a pillow fight in a dormitory and is about as much use as Anne Frank’s drum kit!!

    Rant over.
