That’s a very valid and relevant point thetown and one I had not even considered.
Yes, the irony of having a 50 mph limit to reduce pollution past Wrexham on the A483 is massively negated by the amount of traffic increase in outlying villages as the result of one road closure.
The Senedd are proving what I always suspected: situated in the South, for the South to get most benefit.

Further Update: Dwr Cymru have now decided that they have to redirect a sewage pipe as a result of the further degradation.
When will this 7 month debacle be properly addressed?
What if resultant health hazards ensue?

    Update:
Ironically, on the day that I cycle through the road closure and notice that the cracks are no compromising the structure and integrity of the road there is an updated news article on the site.
Had they acted sooner, the road would probably have been saved.
It now appears far too late and will just add further unnecessary cost to the mounting repairs bill.
    Diabolical and farcical.

That’s more than my NHS wage so if you can get me into JCB with all its fringe benefits I’ll gladly do a swap!
I guess some people really do not have a clue when they’ve got it good.

I’m not referring to one football match, I’m sure there are other events in North Wales that may well have benefitted from being allowed to host, but obviously anything north of Merthyr doesn’t register at the Seneddd.
The north/south divide will only become a chasm with such a mindset but as I say, you obviously don’t recognise it when it’s patently present and has been for some time.
Thanks for explaining to me about the test events, I’ve been so engrossed in my NHS job at the sharp end of the pandemic that it’s obviously passed me by, probably best I leave politics to experts such as yourself, I’ll concentrate on saving lives.
Hope Santa is kind to you…..

    BenjaminM,
Is that post meant to be serious?
Of course it matters where these events take place!
You don’t want local businesses and attractions to benefit from the easing of lockdown, no?
After the latest announcements you STILL don’t see the north/south divide??
Never mind, only a few more months of this and you can start compiling your letter to Santa, I don’t want you to realise he’s a myth too……

Problem is the Government in all probability DID place an order for enough vaccine to cover the population.
Not really their fault if the manufacturer doesn’t turn up with the goods on time, is it?
It’s called supply and demand, resources for said vaccine are undoubtedly finite at this time because the world and his dog want a piece so until then we’ve ALL got to abide by the rules and do our utmost to limit the spread by DOING AS WE ARE TOLD, which by recent figures is a concept quite alien to Wrexham residents!

C&P function on my phone will not play ball today, sadly

In answer to your question Matt, no, staff in certain areas are still not being tested routinely(as they certainly ought to be).
Matt Hancock did say many weeks ago that NHS staff would be tested twice a week, but I believe that was only in England.
To date, in this whole pandemic I have not been tested once, bar being checked for antibodies via blood sample, which proved negative.

Vaccine roll-out has improved dramatically after a slow start and I believe that around 80% of us have now had it, though that is my own rough guesstimate.
The consensus over the delayed second jab is that none of us are overly bothered about the delay because it means more people will get the first one at a quicker rate, which is only fair, as something(well, 90% actually, quite substantial in fact) is better than nothing.
