There is likely one due on May 2nd that is open to all – hope to have details soon.

Wrexham.com has spent the day doing something decent regarding the election so hopefully this time next week will have more on that!

It is worth noting that on previous occasions follow up questions / comments had been denied, but one was allowed yesterday.

I dont know if the policies / rules or whatever are different for the business of the meeting compared to the public questions at the start though!

Are you encouraging your supporters to vote for another candidate, if so, who?

[quote quote=92752]All Parties need to wake up to the use of technology and the more crucial personal contact– be brilliant to have a soap box on Queens Square or Eagles Meadow with all candidates speaking direct to their electorate and being challenged on the spot rather than orchestrated events.

There have been a couple of candidates in town doing similar over the last couple of weeks – megaphone style in the street prominence.

To me this type of stuff should be happening all the time rather than just every few years!

Its a best effort poll – we did look at some demographic stuff or even commissioning one formally however the costs involved are huge. Previously the method for the euro elections appeared to work, but there is always the argument that a stopped clock is right twice a day etc!

[quote quote=92721]It just says I’ve already voted. Which I haven’t.

I guess that’s down to the dynamic IP range I share with other Sky users.

Yes – it is not a specific block on you, however learning from our Euro ones we have tried to make this less causally gameable , although it is trivial to work around it if that would be anyones intent.

However hopefully those types would have something better to do on a Saturday evening :)

There is some anti-spam bits in place to avoid multi votes, which if there are people on similar computers or IP ranges could block votes.

There has been a few hundred votes so far so will be a representative sample and will leave it open for another 30mins.

Are you mixing up the two Town Centre Forum articles?

There is the parking one here and one about a clean up here.

The latter has the paragraph “Alun Hughes from Alun Hughes Film, Music and Nostalgia Wrexham said: “We can look at niche markets, perhaps targeting children.”

No editing has taken place on either after publishing, although a couple of typos could suggest some was needed :)

To me the idea came across to make the festivals / saturday markets as themed and targeted towards kids, in a positive way, rather than make Wrexham resemble Vulgaria ! :)

Good! Issue was some over enthusiastic anti-spammer stuff kicking in.

A few more tweaks done today, will review all posts in the thread and emailed feedback and see which bugs remain to be squished!
