Have I read correctly that there were only 550 that attended this game ? there must have been more police there than spectators :)

Ah Right, the ratio would be about 50 50 then :)

The ratio must have been about 15 fans to every Police Officer– Alexandra School car park was packed with Police officers and theiur transport at 9.00am–

Assuming the Chester fans all came by bus 500 equals only about 15 coaches nit the largest number of problem fans-

Do rate payers have to pay for the out of ground Police or is it the responsability of the Football Club

The police are not on overtime, The rate payer pays for policing outside the stadium.

    dagg,
The Police(well, several of them) most certainly ARE on overtime for that match! NWP do not have that many officers on duty on any other Saturday. Still, one managed to get a good 40 winks, snoring his head off in the ‘Rowdy’ van with the door wide open as I cycled past, bless him.
From match reports one would surmise he wasn’t the only one gaining wages under false pretences, apparently 22 men were seen masquerading as professional footballers.

That is correct the police were brought in from other area’s including dogs and their handlers, a nice little earner if you can get it.. :)
