I went down it earlier, Holt to Wrexham direction, and I maybe dreaming but is there already undulating road surface around one of the overpasses?

There is often some kind of sinkage around bridges for some reason but not so close to construction.

Good to hear from others as it could be my mind playing tricks! :D

The whole area is sand, it’s all they could do to compress it, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it has already began to sink, with the heavy rain.

I have been watching them constructing it for months. Many, many tons of soil have been moved to raise the level in places. I have been thinking that the road will settle very quickly once heavy traffic starts to use it and there will be constant need for repairs and maintenance.

I remember the original stretch of Wrexham by-pass that was completed ahead of schedule but certain sections had to be repaired constantly, especially on bridges!

Pot holes are always the story in and around the industrial estate. Many times (especially on the estate itself) I’ve seen a workman turn up with a bucket of tar, poor it in the hole and hope for the best.

I’d like to think they’ve done all they can with this new road system to avoid any future problems that will require major re-works. Completely defeats the point if the road is down to one lane every few months.

Holt to Wrexham travellled earlier tonight. Yes, definite undulation in the road surface detected.

Cefn Road is always the same, pot hole appears, fill it up with some crap tarmac, it rains, new hole, repeat.
