Have we missed an opportunity to access money to improve roads that regularly flood after a heavy shower? It appears the Council didn’t have a ready plan of work or submit. Does that translate into the Council have no plans to rectify these continuously flooding areas?

Shows just what a waste of space the council are, an opportunity to apply for money and they dont organise it. If we ask for something to be done you get the excuse that they cant afford it.

WCBC have had £167K for footpaths & cycleways. I hope that they give cyclists separate tracks fit for purpose without taking up road & pavement space.

So have the Council got their priorities right? Drawing new cycleways and footpaths on a map takes much less effort than getting out and about locating flash flood areas and planning how they can be alleviated!

Probably true, but council departments are so short staffed that it’s all about firefighting and reaction. The process to apply for these payments from WAG are so time consuming that officers are unable to do them and the day job.

In Rhostyllen they used the money to get rid of the part of cycle lanes, and make another part of what’s left even narrower than it was before.

I think there’s a separate pot of money available for that (mentioned in the Twitter debate?). Don’t hold your breath though, the work they’ve done previously hasn’t made much difference.
