Interesting info for anyone looking at our local MPs to see what additional funding they receive from external doners etc.

Sarah Atherton £27,050 donations and gifts received.

Sarah Atherton received £3,500 , from The United and Cecil Club !

“The United and Cecil Club (U&C) is a British dining club with close links to the Conservative Party. ” according to Wikipedia

Surely it would have been a donation rather than a dining experience !

Jane, you are very biased in your statements in this way.

Just highlight what everyone else claims so that it is a correct comparison. i.e. Look at how much MPs such as Jeremy Corbyn £210,800 or Rebecca Long-Bailey £406,800 and most of Labour donations are from the Unions, no wonder they are not fighting the unions.

Not sure why I am seen to be biased all I have done is highlighted a source of information on our two local MPs – if people are interested in others then they could quite easily use the same site to do research.

The bias more comes from trying to compare two nobody Conservative MPs with two high ranking Labour MPs.

It should come as no surprise that LABOUR receive donations from the Unions. The clue is in their name. They are the party that represents the LABOUR force.

In contrast the Conservative donations come from the rich and powerful. This is who they represent.

That’s why we have a two party system to try and keep the other side in check.

Time that being an MP was a full time exclusive job. Parliament only sits for a relatively few weeks a year , hardly ever on a Friday and starts at 2pm. No wonder MP’s have time to fill with outside work.
