Gresford Slag Heap/ski slope

Does anyone have any information on what’s happening with Gresford slag heap? I know a couple of years ago there was work being carred out to transform it into a dry ski slope. All of a sudden this work stopped, and nothing has been done to it since.

There have been plans for this site on and off for nearly thirty years and nothing has happened!!!!

Had a look round and the only thing I can find is that it hit the skids in 2010 as the company behind the project needed to provide an environmental statement.

According to this article Key Properties Ltd are the land owners, would be interesting to get in touch with them to find out if they have any plans for it.

Back in the early 80’s there was going to be chalets and ski slope. There was a more recent planning application to do with the proposed length of the slope. Wrexham Planning must have all the details.

THe Ski slope will be going ahead without fail, about the start of the next ice age. Don’t expect much will have changed in Wrexham by then , except a covering of ice.
