Following the Councils failure to take action against a garage who pinched some green land, are they now preparing a case against their own staff and their contractors? Recent works in Acton, roofing and housing renovations have left the grass verges and open plan garden areas an absolute desgrace. Deep tire marks from scaffold lorries, grass damaged by skips and easily fixed mess left for months. If I was to drive over the grass in front of the guildhall would I be let off?

The Council did take action but, on appeal, lost again. You are quite correct in drawing attention to their‘don’t do as I do, do as I say’ philosophy.
They have a habit of taking on minor transgressions in the hope that people will comply without argument, but major matters are brushed over or ignored because a challenge would likely ensue.
I suppose they must try and improve figures somehow though.
