So Wrexham gets just over £200,000 from the Community Renewal Fund, which tiny in comparison to many other North Wales areas , let alone South Wales. Is this all Wrexham asked for or have they had some of their projects rejected?

Doesn’t bode well for the potential of a city bid (if decided to submit) – if Westminster don’t wish to invest in Wrexham through this funding that was rejected last week for the ‘Western Gateway’ and now crumbs off the table of a couple of hundred thousand when a £40+ million fund for Wales should have brought in at least £2million on a pro rata base. Either background Politics or poor bid writing. Either way looks like Wrexham has definitely not had its share.

“Providing high quality Level 4 Health and Social Care Education in North Wales” Anglesey has had over £500,000 for this project. Surely this is something Wrexham could do with as well. Part of the meagre £122000 Wrexham has received is going to be spent on a “feasibility study “ another paper exercise. Why do our Council never know what needs doing without a survey ?

Paying for surveys and studies is a great way of transferring council funds to councilors pockets via the back door. So no surprise they are always so popular.

They did get 13 million for the aquaduct. Not sure why it needs 13 million. I hope they are not still planning on building the cablecar to nowhere.
