The Council are promising affordable housing on the site of Centre 67. What is needed is affordable family accommodation, houses with their own front and back doors with a garden. We already have enough of the ultra small rabbit hutches that pass as apartments and called affordable homes. This is a Council owned property and they are in control of how it is developed, unless that is they sell it off to a developer!

This is likely to be only a small pat of a much bigger development – the Council are developing the Crown Buildings — how much of the space behind this building will also come onto the market as a single plot. The old residential home, Cunliffe Centre all coming down..
the church also have an empty building so this could become a big plot– it might even take in the old printers on Rhosddu road. It will leave St James with houses in three sides..
