    I agree there Tim places have never been so clean and with personal hygiene as well, should have always been like that but as you say could now be stopping other things spreading.

    Matt, you sum up the challenge facing us all very succinctly. I too wish there was more co-operation UK wide, but the UK Government is not interested in co-operating with the devolved governments, or even the local and regional authorities in England. The UK Government operates from the viewpoint that Westminster and Whitehall know best and that everyone else must fall into line. That has never worked in the past and it will not work now. If they continue down this road, they will fail and we will all pay the price. Meanwhile the UK Government’s representatives and supporters are doing a fantastic job of making co-operation across the country more difficult and recruiting new members to those political forces which want to pull the UK apart.
