At last an acknowledgement that BCUHB should never have been taken out of special measures and Glan Clwyd to be closely monitored but no mention of a staff recruitment programme. Would bringing in outsiders to manage the BCUHB really make any difference?

The problem with Health is the same as schools when they are put into Special Measures (or whatever term it is called) the same managers and staff remain even though they are at the heart of the problems. It will not be all staff and I am sure Health and Schools will have some good staff but working in an environment that has others that have created a failed service.
Remove the bad apples and the others left will not become rotten.

Why were Community Hospitals such as Dobshill, Trevalyn & Meadowslea closed without being replaced with something similar? I am pretty sure that we didn’t have huge ambulance queues when they were open.

They provided a service giving beds to patients ready for discharge from hospital.

Maybe Grove Park School could be converted into a training hospital for student nurses & doctors to get some on the job training rather then sitting exams with little or no people skills. If they could open all those temporary hospitals for Covid, why could they not do something similar for bed blocking patients?
