Plans to revitalise town centres in Wrexham and Flintshire have been given £4m in funding.

In Wrexham, King Street is to get a make over to complement the new-look bus station.

Wrexham and Flintshire councils put in the successful bid for £3m in European funding and have pledged a further £1m.

They want to improve trade on the high streets in Buckley, Holywell, Mold, and Wrexham, among others.

Councillor Rodney Skelland, Wrexham’s lead member for regeneration, said: “We are delighted that we have secured EU funding through the Welsh government.

“The street improvements near the bus station will enhance an area that is the first image of Wrexham for many visitors.”

Got to be good for the town… will be interesting to see proposed plans etc

This is excellent news. What can the money be spent on? Hope businesses in King Street and surrounding area consulted?
