Tuesday 23rd August

Coedpoeth library is holding a summer holiday craft event in the afternoon. Admission is 50p and the event is suitable for ages 3+. Starts at 3pm.

Canadian band Nightbox are playing an intimate Reading and Leeds warm up show at Wrexham’s Central Station on Tuesday night. Tickets are £5 and doors open at 7pm.

Wednesday 24th August

Come and make a family of balloon people at Alyn Waters Country Park. Suitable for all ages accompanied by an adult. Starts 1.30pm. Tickets £1.75.

The Plassey Craft and Retail Centre is having a Kids Fun Craft Workshop where children can make spoon puppets, fridge magnets, rulers and much more. 10.30am-4.30pm. Entry 50p.

Thursday 25th August

How to stay in control of your business. This workshop highlights the importance of book-keeping and provides guidance on how to set up a book keeping system. It also provides key information on Self Assessment for tax purposes, National Insurance Contributions, VAT, your obligations under the PAYE system and points to consider when using an accountant when setting up and running a business. Free but booking essential. 5.30pm–8.30pm.

Friday 26th August

National Garden Scheme Open Day. Guided walks with the gardeners at Erddig in Wrexham. Starts 11am. Normal admission prices apply.

Cmnd/Ctrl is a brand new night boasting the best of Indie/Rock/Alternative/Punk/Soul & Electro music every Friday Night in Central Station. On Friday night the event will feature sets from The Goat Roper Rodeo Band and Nia Roberts. Entry free before 11pm £2 afterward. Doors 8pm.

Saturday 27th August

Rossett Village Festival will take place at Darland Sports Centre on Saturday. A day when the people of Rossett and anyone else who cares to join them, can get together to have fun and share in village life. There is something for everyone including a horticultural show, art exhibition, classic car rally, dog show, children’s activities, tug o war, brass band, refreshments, and lots more. Starts 12pm. Entry £2.

Saturday Night Out at St Mary’s Catholic Club. Anyone aged 40+ is welcome to enjoy professional singers and have a dance. Starts 7pm. Entry £1.50 members £2 guests.

Sunday 28th August

The Plassey Craft and Leisure Centre is holding a fun day in their tea garden including bungee trampolines, swing boats, bouncy castle and face painting. Starts 11am.

Monday 29th August

A Bring and Buy Sale and BBQ will be held at St Marys Catholic Club on Monday afternoon from 1-4pm. Entry is free.
