Friday 19th July

Live Music on the Bandstand

The free events organised by Wrexham County Borough Council, Parks and Countryside Service in partnership with the Friends of Bellevue Park, are now into their 11th year. In total there are five Friday evening concerts, all starting at 7pm, featuring a range of acts, ranging from Jazz to Rock. Tonight Mudslide will be performing in the bandstand.

Ruabon Fete

Join in the fun and games and enjoy the fun fair, dog show, birds of prey and music.

Open Afternoon at Holt Castle

A free tour of the site, which will give you the chance to view some of the castle’s finds and see what they have been up to. Please wear sensible shoes. Open access site. This event is suitable for all ages.

Sausage and Beer Festival

This event will feature over 15 various Real Ales and over 50 varieties of sausages. The tickets include entertainment for children, live music and entertainment and access to the sausage bistro.

Saturday Art Mash-up and Saturday Studio Sessions

Join artist Jo Marsh for a fun afternoon of arts and crafts in this mini art school. There are classes throughout the afternoon suitable for 7 – 12 year olds and for ages 13+.

Jewellery And Bead Workshop

Alison Davies will be in the Plassey Craft Workshop providing a unique jewellery and bead workshop for visitors. This event is suitable for families.

Tenovus Charity Dinner Dance

This is sure to be a night to remember, kicking off at 7pm for a drinks reception followed by a lovely three course meal and dancing for the rest of the evening. Come along to this special event to celebrate Tenovus’ 70th Birthday!
All proceeds raised will go towards helping expand cancer services in North Wales. Tenovus aims to help prevent, treat and find a cure for cancer. In doing that they offer support, advice and treatment for cancer patients, information on cancer prevention and funding for research to improve the outcomes for people with cancer and they do this where it is needed most – right at the heart of the communities in Wales.

Wrexham Community Choir

Come and sing your heart out with Wrexham Community Choir. Everyone welcome – from seasoned singers to terrified beginners.
No musical experience is required as all songs are learnt by ear. Led by professional Musical Director Carol Donaldson, the Choir has a repertoire of songs in various languages and from a wide variety of genres. The Choir has been described as the “heart of the community” and has performed at many events and festivals including the Llangollen Fringe, Wrexham Olympic celebrations, Focus Wales, Women’s Festival of Music and Arts and other community events in Wrexham. The Choir meets every Tuesday (except in August) between 7.30 and 9.30pm in either the Wrexham Methodist Church or Lager Club.

Multi-Skills Dragon Sport

A new way of teaching children the skills for a life in sport is set to give Welsh youngsters the same sporting start as in countries like Australia and New Zealand Dragon Multi-Skills and Sport will focus on embedding basic skills – such as agility, balance and co-ordination – that give the essential building blocks, before moving on to playing a specific sport. CV Workshops running 10am-1pm and then 6-9pm (max. of 10 people per group) with 1-2-1 sessions that can be booked between 2-5pm. Running every Wednesday from 3rd July. These workshops are fun, thought-provoking and provide practical steps to help you write an engaging CV, covering letter and find out about job opportunities.

The workshops are small, friendly and safe environments to help you gain confidence to get the job you want.
