Screening For Wales – Breast Test Open Day

Underneath The Arches (Pont Fest)

Wrexham’s Pontcysyllte Aqueduct will be lit-up as part of a spectacular evening of music and entertainment on Friday 12th July. Entertainment from ‘The Big Beat’ and other local bands. Saturday July 13th

Garden Village 100 Year Celebrations

Grand parade. Come along dressed up in 1960’s clothes. There will be a fete on the Village Green, refreshments, stalls and children’s activities. A ‘Village Green Status Plaque’ will also be unveiled. Start from St Margaret’s at 1pm and school children will be picked up at Bethel at 1.10pm.

Antiques And Collectors Fair

A monthly collectors fair selling a wide variety of antiques and collectibles, including glass, ceramics, militaria, pictures and prints, books, ephemera, jewellery, postcards etc.

Multi-Skills Dragon Sport

A new way of teaching children the skills for a life in sport is set to give Welsh youngsters the same sporting start as in countries like Australia and New Zealand Dragon Multi-Skills and Sport will focus on embedding basic skills – such as agility, balance and co-ordination – that give the essential building blocks, before moving on to playing a specific sport. This is event is suitable for 6-11 years

Wrexham Community Choir

Come and sing your heart out with Wrexham Community Choir. Everyone welcome – from seasoned singers to terrified beginners.
No musical experience is required as all songs are learnt by ear. Led by professional Musical Director Carol Donaldson, the Choir has a repertoire of songs in various languages and from a wide variety of genres. The Choir has been described as the “heart of the community” and has performed at many events and festivals including the Llangollen Fringe, Wrexham Olympic celebrations, Focus Wales, Women’s Festival of Music and Arts and other community events in Wrexham. The Choir meets every Tuesday (except in August) between 7.30 and 9.30pm in either the Wrexham Methodist Church or Lager Club.

Join our Wrexham ‘Sing with Us’ choir every Monday. Tenovus provide support, treatment and advice to cancer patients and their families, whenever and wherever it’s needed most. Our Choirs are fun, uplifting and friendly, and for anyone who’s been affected by cancer. You don’t have to read music, or be a great singer; every voice counts. This event is suitable for ages 18 and over.

These workshops are fun, thought-provoking and provide practical steps to help you write an engaging CV, covering letter and find out about job opportunities.

The workshops are small, friendly and safe environments to help you gain confidence to get the job you want.
