Bloom, A Well-being Course

Bloom is a free course that aims to improve mood and general well-being through gentle gardening, mindfulness and good food. This event is suitable for ages 18 and over.

Rossett Country Market

This monthly event provides the perfect chance to wander around and do some shopping. There will be the chance to buy home made cakes, cards, craft, preserves, honey and paintings.

Environmental Clean Up Day

Environmental clean up day at the Trevor canal basin. Meet at the toilets on the car park at Trevor Basin.  Come along have some fun and make some friends while sprucing up your World Heritage Site. Refreshments will be provided.

Robotics Challenge Club

It’s time to unleash your creative talents in Techniquest’s brand new Saturday LEGO Robotics Challenge club. The science experience will be running a Saturday LEGO club that will set participants the task of building and programming advanced LEGO robots to complete lots of exciting challenges. From Saturday 18th May, there are 6 consecutive weekends for over 12s, using LEGO MINDSTORMS kits. The sessions are run as a series, starting with the basics and building up to more challenging activities as the weeks progress. Parents or guardians may either drop their child off at the centre*, or stay on-site for the duration. Any parent or guardian leaving their child at the centre must provide us with emergency contact details at the time of booking. This is event is suitable for 12+. Advanced booking is required.

Baby and Children’s Market Nearly New Sale

There will be free sports session for children from A-Star Sports, free Rhythm Time taster session, a free colouring table, a visit from a famous cartoon fireman, glitter tattoos, cupcakes, on site cafe, a select number of local businesses showcasing their unique children’s products and services as well as bargains galore from our nearly new sellers. There are a few stalls available but be quick. They are £12 each and this includes a table plus space at the side for larger items. Large venue so plenty of room for buggies. This is event is suitable for maternity to 8yrs.

Wrexham Race For Life

Cancer we’re coming to get you! Ladies. It’s time to show cancer who’s in charge at Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life. There are over 200 types of cancers and we won’t give up until we find cures for them all. It’s fighting talk, but we mean every word we say. Cancer, we’re coming to get you. Multi-Skills Dragon Sport

A new way of teaching children the skills for a life in sport is set to give Welsh youngsters the same sporting start as in countries like Australia and New Zealand Dragon Multi-Skills and Sport will focus on embedding basic skills – such as agility, balance and co-ordination – that give the essential building blocks, before moving on to playing a specific sport. This is event is suitable for anyone aged between 6 and 11.

Plas Pentwyn’s 5th Birthday Party!

Plas Pentwyn  Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Centre are celebrating their 5th birthday. Come along and meet double Gold Olympic Medallist Tom James; as he will be returning to the Centre to see how it has developed since he opened it back in 2008. WCBC Sports Development will provide sporting fun out on the field for children, the library will host arts and crafts and our community garden will provide a variety of activities to try.  Fair rides and fun and games will keep all the family happy and the café have serve birthday treats.  Local Community groups are invited to have a free stall to fundraise, promote, and advertise their group; to book a stall or for more information please call Katy Owen or Jordan Whitby on 01978 722980.

A Common Language a Common Endeavour? Rev Richard Sharples, Methodist Minister in Wrexham, believes that the Holy Spirit is stirring in Wrexham, beyond and in the Churches, through an emergence of the Arts. The evening will allow for a sharing of experience and the dreaming of dreams. Special Guest Speakers: Gavin Mart, Pioneer Minister and founder of the Engedi Arts Project in Colwyn Bay. Dave Gray, of The Foundry here in Wrexham, a focal point for creative energy.
