Bloom is a free course that aims to improve mood and general well-being through gentle gardening, mindfulness and good food. This event is suitable for ages 18 and over.

An Evening of Clairvoyance

An Evening of Clairvoyance with local medium Lesley Davies. There will also be a raffle in aid of Nightingale House. This event is suitable for 16+. Advanced booking is required.

Rossett Country Market

This monthly event provides the perfect chance to wander around and do some shopping. There will be the chance to buy home made cakes, cards, craft, preserves, honey and paintings.

Bryn’s Buddies

Pop along to Wrexham Museum’s monthly history club for children aged 7-11 years. In this months session the museum will be exploring the theme of time at Bersham Heritage Centre. Advanced booking essential.

Hoola For Charity

Plas Madoc Leisure & Activity Centre will be hosting the first charity Hoola Nation competition, with all proceeds donated to the Ataxia Telangiectasia Society. The competition is open to boys and girls aged 5-14 and everyone who participates will receive a certificate. All abilities are welcome. The Ataxia Telangiectasia Society raise funds for children and young adults who have been diagnosed with A-T. Children are often wheelchair bound by the time they are 10 and are completely dependent on parents and carers from then on. Sadly many children die young, and it is unusual for a person with classic A-T to reach 25 years of age.

Sunday May 5th

 

Circle Of Hope Bike Ride

The popular annual bike event, Circle of Hope Bike Ride is returning to Cheshire and North Wales for the fifth year. Professional and amateur cyclists are invited to enter the bike ride taking place on 5 May 2013. With over 250 cyclists expected to enter all money raised will be donated to North West Cancer Research. Each level of the charity challenge has different tests and whilst all three paths incorporate hills the shortest route is open to complete beginners. The 50 and 100 mile routes, which follow the national trail around Llangollen, are for more experienced competitors. Entry fee starts at £15 (entry on the day is £20) per person, but for £55 entrants will also receive a commemorative cycle jersey. Cycling clubs are also welcome to enter as are teams of five or more. It will be possible to enter on the day and children under 16 wishing to compete must be accompanied by an adult. This is event is suitable for children under the age of 16 can take part but must be accompanied by an adult

Time: 8:00am – 100 mile, 8:30am –  50 mile and 9:00am – 15 mile

HPV Racing in Rhyl

Looking for something different to do this weekend? Then why not head up the coast to Rhyl and check out their rather unusual bike ride. The races will feature a variety of Human Power vehicles. This is the ideal opportunity to get up close and personal to these unusual machines, and to meet the designers and racers.

Multi-Skills Dragon Sport

A new way of teaching children the skills for a life in sport is set to give Welsh youngsters the same sporting start as in countries like Australia and New Zealand Dragon Multi-Skills and Sport will focus on embedding basic skills – such as agility, balance and co-ordination – that give the essential building blocks, before moving on to playing a specific sport. This is event is suitable for anyone aged between 6 and 11.

Murder Mystery Night

A group of aspiring authors have gathered at the Writer’s House on the Northumberland coast to learn the art of the crime story. That afternoon however, the body of the course tutor is found in the summer-house. In the tradition of the golden age detective novel only the people in the house could have committed the murder. If you would like to find out who killed him and how,then pop along and take part in this unmissable evening. This is event is suitable for 12+

Junior Boxercise
