Tots Time

Come along and spend your morning learning through stories, rhymes and songs. Not to mention the chance to make some new friends. This session will be undertaken through the medium of English. Two children per one adult only. Pre-booking essential. This event is suitable for 0 – 3 years.

Bloom, A Well-being Course

Bloom is a free course that aims to improve mood and general well-being through gentle gardening, mindfulness and good food. This event is suitable for ages 18 and over.

Charity Night – Elvis Tribute Act

 

This fun packed evening will be held in aid of Nightingale House Hospice and The Shooting Star Unit. Come along and sing to all your favourite Elvis hits. There’s also great raffle prizes up for grabs.

Welsh National Opera’s Grand Tour of Europe

Once a year, opera companies from across Europe hold events to celebrate a love of opera, and this year Wrexham has been chosen to host the occasion. The concert will take you through some of the greatest European operas without even leaving the comfort of your seat. There will also be a chance to sing-along yourself and learn extracts from these much-loved operas.

Antiques And Collectors Fair

A monthly collectors fair selling a wide variety of antiques and collectibles, including glass, ceramics, militaria, pictures and prints, books, ephemera, jewellery, postcards etc.

Craft Fest 2013

New for this year is an exciting opportunity to see some master craftsmen at work. Try your hand at wood carving and bush craft skills. Make a metal dragon and have a go at wattle and daub plastering – a traditional building skill that has been used for 6000 years and is still important in construction today. Come and meet award-winning tree carver Simon O’ Rourke, experience the blacksmiths forge, the amazing art of glass blowing and lots more. Demonstrations will take place throughout the day. This event is suitable for all ages.

Saturday Art Mash-up and Saturday Studio Sessions

Join artist Jo Marsh for a fun afternoon of arts and crafts in this mini art school. There are classes throughout the afternoon suitable for 7 – 12 year olds and for ages 13+.

Multi-Skills Dragon Sport

A new way of teaching children the skills for a life in sport is set to give Welsh youngsters the same sporting start as in countries like Australia and New Zealand Dragon Multi-Skills and Sport will focus on embedding basic skills – such as agility, balance and co-ordination – that give the essential building blocks, before moving on to playing a specific sport. This is event is suitable for 6-11 years

Official Launch of Foster Care Fortnight

The Foster Care Fortnight is a national event in order to recruit new foster families for children and young people of all ages. If you have a spare room in your home and patience and understanding to help a child or young person who is unable to live at home, come along to this or any of our other events and talk to members of the team. Foster carers, young people, professionals from the therapeutic fostering scheme (WRAP) and members of Wrexham Fostering Service will be available at the hotel all day to provide information about fostering. Refreshments and cake will be available.
