Physical Impairments Swimming Session

New swimming session designed specifically for people with physical impairments. Instructors are available before and after the sessions for advice and guidance as required.

Friends and family members are welcome to attend.
The event starts on February 5th and will run every following Tuesday

Free finance drop in event for parents

The event will offer: free money advice, help with returning back to work, help with childcare, housing and tenancy advice, help with energy bills and benefits advice.

There will also be free children’s activities.

Wrexham Council Tenants’ Assembly – Welfare Reform

Changes to Welfare Reform from April 2013 will have significant impact on most residents who receive welfare benefits. Throughout January, February and March there will be a number of events held at various local venues.

This meeting is aimed at Wrexham Council Tenants who want to know how the changes might affect them.

Venues can hold limited numbers so advanced booking is required.

The event is suitable for Wrexham Tenants aged 18+

Blood Donation

Giving blood can dramatically improve or save the lives of those in need of blood transfusions, which means that one donation could potentially save or improve the lives of up to three people. Anyone aged between 17 – 65, weighing more than 50 kg (7 stone 12lbs) and in general good health can start giving blood. There is no upper age limit for donors who have donated in the last two years.

 

Venue: The Memorial Hall, Bodhyfryd, Wrexham

Family Rugby Days

The Stiwt Theatre have teamed up with Wrexham Lager to show the main Six Nations Games. Pop along to the theatre auditorium to watch the game on the big screen, and enjoy a fully licensed bar, entertainment, waitress service and kids activities.

Children’s Craft Workshop

Bring your children along to enjoy a half term, Valentines themed craft workshop for the under 5s. The afternoon will involve lots of ‘gluing and sticking’ and children are advised to wear old clothes that they don’t mind getting messy! The event will be held by local CRB checked artist, Jemma Bailey. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Advanced booking is required.

February Half Term Art Activity

 

In Finland there is a tradition of growing small containers of grass to signify the arrival of Spring. Celebrate the new season by making a decorated vessel with added seeds that will come to life when watered. You are welcome to bring along a shallow container or choose from one of those provided. Advanced booking is required.
