The annual Offa Carnival will be held in Bellevue Park in Wrexham, on Saturday 21st July, 11.00 am until 4.00 pm. The Carnival is funded and organized by Offa Community Council and entrance to the event is Free.
There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family along with Stokes Fun fair amusement rides, stalls and refreshments. This year organisers are bringing in a new attraction ‘The Welsh Axemen’.
Returning for their second year at the event is the circus skills workshop where you have the chance to try your hand at plate spinning, juggling or stilt walking.
Some of the other events taking place this year are, PDSA Dog Show, Brickfield Rangers FC ‘5 a side’ football tournament, a Falconry Display, land train rides around the park, donkey rides, Punch and Judy, Hoola Nation, Face Painting, and community and charity stalls. Enjoy a ride around the park on the Land Train or watch the falconry displays in the main arena.
Smaller visitors to the carnival will love the donkey rides and face painting as well as the Professor Humo Punch and Judy. Refreshments will be available in the Community Centre.
The PDSA Charity are again holding their Dog Show with 10 classes including best puppy, best veteran, most handsome dog, best rescued, prettiest bitch, waggiest tail, most loving eyes, dog most like owner, longest tail, best 6 legs and finally Best in Show. Registration for the show is free and starts at 10.30am. Cost £1 per class per dog.
We look forward to seeing you on the day for a family fun day out. The event is organised and funded by Offa Community Council. Admission to the event is free and open to all residents of Wrexham.
