“Music and fun always go together, but add a little bit of politics and you might think differently! However Clwyd South Constituency Labour Party Women’s Forum are hoping to change that with our “Music, Politics and Fun Day” on 29th June at Brymbo Sports and Social Club, Heritage Way, Brymbo, LL11 5TG.

The day is being organised to raise funds for Wrexham Food Bank, The WINGS Project Wrexham and Clwyd South Women’s Forum. We have some fantastic national and local performers and speakers as well as stalls, including caterers, face painting and children’s activities.

We are so pleased to be welcoming such brilliant music acts as Jess Silk, Phil Odgers (from The Men They Couldn’t Hang), Joe Solo and Freeborn Rising, as well as well known political commentator Peter Stefanovic. We are also proud to be hosting local poets Evrah Rose, David Subacchi, Lisa Rossetti and Lara Edwards, as well as additional music from Sons of Saints.

Jess is a singer songwriter from the Black Country who has been writing since her teens, she has been likened to Billy Bragg and is a fantastic artist.

Joe is a musician, writer, political activist, historian, broadcaster and washing machine engineer from Scarborough. Joe has, and continues to support many social causes, with 50% of the price of his CDs going towards supporting those in need in his community.

Phil is an acoustic guitarist, singer songwriter and founder member of legendary folk rock rebels The Men They Couldn’t Hang. His amazing vocal talent never fails to move the listener. Phil supports many political and social causes.

Peter is a lawyer, journalist and filmmaker debunking political deceit. With over 50 million views on social media he is an influential voice for those who are not heard.

Tickets are available from tinyurl.com/csclpwomen from £5.00.

For information on booking a stall or to order paper tickets please email [email protected]

Access to the stalls between 12 noon and 5pm is free (however to stay longer then you will need to buy a ticket), tickets will be available at the door.
