Lyra Choral Ensemble from St Petersburgh in Concert

Location: Capel y Groes, Stryt Holt, Wrexham LL12 7AG

Vocal ensemble LYRA from St. Petersburg, Russia are 4 members who are classically trained as an opera singers/choir conductors in the world famous St. Petersburg Conservatory.

Their mixture programme usually consists of two parts: 1st. part – Sacred music of pieces of famous composers like Bortnianski, Tchaikovski, Tchesnokov, Rachmaninov, Gretchaninov and great masters of choir music. And then they continue with some of Russian and word vocal solo classic pieces.

In the second part of the concert Lyra sing Russian folk songs in all their variety: comic, lyric, dancing, love songs.
