Llangollen Eisteddfod 2012

Llangollen International Eisteddfod is taking place on 3rd to 8th July.

Tuesday 3rd July sees the opening ceremony from 7.30pm with tickets £10 or £15.

Wednesday 4th sees the event kick off fully from 9am with Children’s choirs, folk dance groups and solo vocal and instrumentalists. The evening sees a Gala Concert for the Queens Diamond Jubilee with Alison Balson and Lesley Garrett starring.

Thursday 5th July sees another full day of Eisteddfod events , with a special ‘message of peace’ at noon involving the whole of the site. The evening has Alfie Boe and the finalists of the Show Choir Competition performing.

Friday 6th July is a folk focused day with performers from all around the world. The evening performance is from Karl Jenkins and a mass choir.

Saturday 7th has the much anticipated Male Voice Choir and Female Choirs plus the Barbershop competition. The evening shows are from the World Choir Competition competing for the coverted Pavarotti Trophy.

Sunday 8th sees the opening change from 9am to 12:30pm as it is the final afternoon. The evening sees a Grand Finale gala event.
