Details: The fifth meeting of the 2013/14 season of the North Wales Society of Engineers will be on Thursday 13th February 2014. The speaker will be Sid Jones BSc (Hons) who will speak on the subject of Home Computing-Past, Present and Future. This will be a talk on ‘home brewed’ computing systems, from the early days of logic gates implemented from transistors and resistors, through the introduction of digital integrated circuits and the arrival of the ubiquitous microprocessor, with examples from Sid’s own practical experiences.
