Friday 12th April

 

‘First Day’ – Print International

On the first Friday of all the new Oriel Wrecsam exhibitions, we invite bloggers, tweeters and Facebookers to join staff and volunteers. This event includes a tour of the exhibitions before anyone else and opportunities to find out more about the artists. A must for all art / design / applied arts students. You can find us on Facebook and @OrielWrecsam on Twitter. Event is suitable for all ages.

Free Families Event

Why not pop down and bring your children along to the Hightown Community Centre for a craft and activity session. There will be the chance for parents to enter a free raffle, along with the chance to chat to experts about family finance, changes to benefits, energy advice and returning to work or training. There will also be free piggy banks.

Saturday 13th April

 

Saturday Art Mash-up and Saturday Studio Sessions

Join artist Jo Marsh for a fun afternoon of arts and crafts in this mini art school. There are classes throughout the afternoon suitable for 7 – 12 year olds and for ages 13+.

Archery in the Tea Garden

Paul Jones from The Archery Experience will at The Plassey offering advice and tuition in the art of archery. Come along and join in the fun!

Antiques & Collectors Fair

A monthly collectors fair selling a wide variety of antiques and collectibles, including glass, ceramics, miliaria, pictures and prints, books, ephemera, jewellery, postcards etc.

Ticket Price: £1 for adults and 70p concessions.

Emily’s Ball – Raising Autism Awareness

Emily’s Ball is a charity Ball that raises awareness of Autism and funds for both The National Autistic Society and Autism Cymru. The event will include a wine reception, three course gala dinner, guest speakers, entertainment, raffle and auction. More information can be found atwww.emilysball.co.uk/. Multi-Skills Dragon Sport

A new way of teaching children the skills for a life in sport is set to give Welsh youngsters the same sporting start as in countries like Australia and New Zealand Dragon Multi-Skills and Sport will focus on embedding basic skills – such as agility, balance and co-ordination – that give the essential building blocks, before moving on to playing a specific sport. This is event is suitable for 6-11 years

Bloom – A Wellbeing Course

Junior Boxercise

Take part in a 45 minute work out for all abilities in this new, fun-filled exercise at Queensway Stadium.

CIEH Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering

Yale Training are running a CIEH Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering course. The course will take place on the 18th, 22nd , 29th April & 7th May. The qualification is designed for managers and supervisors or anyone who requires a broad understanding of food hygiene. Delegates need to have completed the CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering within the last 3 years. Advanced booking is required.
