Advance Brighter Futures Charity Quiz Night

 

Held on the last Friday of every month, all proceeds raised on the night will go to a local mental health charity. 8 members per team max.

Venue: Wrexham Lager Club

Blood Donation Session

 

Giving blood can improve or save the lives of those in need of blood transfusions. A single donation can be broken down into three component parts (red cells, plasma and platelets) meaning that one donation can potentially save or improve the lives of up to three people. Anyone aged between 17 – 65, weighing more than 50 kg (7 stone 12lbs) and in general good health could potentially start saving lives by becoming a blood donor.

James Jackson: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Act

 

Experience the magic of James Jackson, The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute as he performs to some of the King Of Pop’s greatest hits, including: Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Thriller, Beat It and many more in this 90+ minute show. Saturday Art Mash-up and Saturday Studio Sessions

Join artist Jo Marsh for a fun afternoon of arts and crafts in this mini art school. There are classes throughout the afternoon suitable for 7 – 12 year olds and for ages 13+.

Bersham Colliery Open Day

North Wales Miners Association Trust Ltd will open the gate at Bersham Colliery providing all those interested with the chance to see  historic headgear, the engine house and mining artefacts on the yard. All welcome.

Bloom, A Well-being Course

Bloom is a free course that aims to improve mood and general well-being through gentle gardening, mindfulness and good food. This event is suitable for ages 18 and over.

Free Families Event

Why not bring your children along to Church of the Nazarene for a fun morning of arts and crafts. There will also be a free raffle for parents, and the chance to speak to experts about family finance, changes to benefits, energy advice and returning to work or training. There will also be the chance to get yourself a free piggy bank.

Multi-Skills Dragon Sport

A new way of teaching children the skills for a life in sport is set to give Welsh youngsters the same sporting start as in countries like Australia and New Zealand Dragon Multi-Skills and Sport will focus on embedding basic skills – such as agility, balance and co-ordination – that give the essential building blocks, before moving on to playing a specific sport. This is event is suitable for anyone aged between 6 and 11.
