Coedpoeth’s Community Garden, Plas Pentwyn is offering residents the chance to get together and learn new ‘green-fingered’ techniques.

The Coedpoeth Development Committee will be offering a range of sessions from May to October, including ‘How To Make Your Own Herb Box’ and ‘How To Make Healthy And Hearty Meals’.

The first session will take place at 9:30am on Thursday May 2nd, and will teach residents how to make their own hanging basket.

Cllr David Griffiths, Lead Member for Health and Adult Social Care, said: “There is a wonderful community garden at Plas Pentwyn and I know staff would love to see it used by people of all ages.  This may be of particular interest to more senior residents in the area who would like the opportunity to get out and about more and meet up with other people.

I would encourage them to get in touch and attend one of the sessions.  I’m certain many of them have a huge contribution they can make to others.”

Sessions are available to all, however staff are particularly hoping to see some of the more senior residents of the area. Prior booking is essential on some ‘Make And Take Home’ sessions.
