Wrexham Swimming Club National Competitions Summer 2014
This summer three Wrexham Swimming Club swimmers will be competing at national and international competitions against some of the UKs’ top swimmers.
13-year-old Tom Thorpe will be competing in his first British Age-Group National Championships and Open Water Championships in Sheffield. This is the highlight of the domestic calendar where Tom’s continued success will put him against the countries best in the 200m & 400m Freestyles and 1.5k Open Water.
Wil Rosson will also be competing in Sheffield in the British Youth & Senior National Championships in the 17-18yr age-group. Wil is the Club’s top sprinter and he will be racing the 50m & 100m freestyle events and aiming to improve on last year’s results.
16-year-old Karl Taylor will be travelling to Manchester in September to the UK School Games as part of the Welsh Squad that will be pitted against teams from the rest of Great Britain.
Head Coach, Craig Prime said: “The whole Club has gone from strength to strength this season and these achievements are among the season’s many highlights. All at the Club wish them the very best of luck.”
