Racecourse To Host Rugby League International

International rugby league will be returning to Wrexham this month when Wales take on the might of Australia in the Gillette Four Nations.

And the North Wales public will have the opportunity to see some the world’s best players up close and personal in Wrexham, with ticket prices starting at just £10 for adults and £5 for children and concessions.

The game takes place on Sunday November 13th (KO 5.45pm) at the Racecourse Ground. Wales coach Iestyn Harris has named a strong squad for the Four Nations tournament, which includes Lee Briers and Crusaders stars Lloyd White, Ben Flower, Elliot Kear and Peter Lupton.

Cllr Bob Dutton, Wrexham Council’s Lead Member for Communities and Performance, said he was thrilled to have international sport returning to Wrexham.

“I am delighted that Wales will be playing this prestigious fixture at the Racecourse Ground here in Wrexham. This area deserves to have top class international sporting events and I am sure this event will attract supporters from throughout Wales to Wrexham” he said.

“Wales vs. Australia will see some of the sport’s biggest stars gracing the Racecourse and with tickets starting at just £10 for adults and £5 for children offers outstanding value. It will be a fantastic occasion and a great day out for all the family.”
