Head Coach Grady departs Crusaders
North Wales Crusaders have confirmed the departure of head coach Mike Grady who will leave the club with immediate effect.
Grady took charge of the Wrexham based side at the end of the 2016 season, leading them to the league cup final in 2017 where they suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of Barrow Raiders.
Following a discussion with Mike surrounding a number of issues, the club has ‘made a decision to go in a different direction’.
In a statement the club said: “Everyone at North Wales Crusaders would like to wish Mike the very best for the future, and thank him for his efforts whilst in charge.”
Speaking about the decision, Crusaders CEO Andy Moulsdale said: “After talks with Mike on Monday, it was agreed that we would go our separate ways.
“I’d like to thank Mike for his enthusiasm for the job over the last 18 months.
“Getting to the league cup final last year was a good achievement. However, league form at the back end of last season was inconsistent, and with a slow start this season we felt that we had to talk to Mike.
“Having done so it was agreed to part ways and I wish him the very best for the future.
Assistant coach Jonny Leather will remain at the club.
