This evening Wrexham exited the FA Cup for this year, losing 2-1 to Oxford. Twitter though was more focused on ex-manager Dean Saunders who made an impression via his BT Sport commentary!
To lighten the mood following tonights defeat, below are a handful of tweets that appeared, with vast amounts that could not be repeated due to the large amount of swearing used!
@wrexham I’ve said it for ages now, Dean Saunders is a modern day David Brent.

Did Dean Saunders just say the modern day footballs are becoming like beach balls?
— Matt H (@MattyTHurst) December 9, 2013
@wrexham he’s mentioned at least 3 players who are his “best ever signing”..
— Tom Williams (@AnneHaddy) December 9, 2013
Saunders appears to be advocating the tactical innovation of Wrexham having 22 players on the pitch.
— Oxblogger (@oxtweeter) December 9, 2013
Saunders tactical knowledge consists of telling teams to go wider or narrower. Sign him up!
— Tino Race (@tinorace) December 9, 2013
@fezbob according to Dean Saunders it’s “4-4-2… with 4 strikers on the pitch.” You work that one out.

Dear @btsport, Please never use Dean Saunders ever again. He’s awful. Thanks
— Will Pye (@WillPye) December 9, 2013
It seems the BT Sport co-presenters were also not keen on ‘Deano’:
